At Taylor Emmet, we understand the importance of giving back to our local community and making a difference to charities and organisations that matter to our clients and colleagues.

We believe in giving back to the communities we serve. We pride ourselves in our links with local businesses and organisations within the Sheffield City Region.

Our teams invest time, money, and resources in supporting local community groups, sports teams, events, schools and colleges.

We’re regular sponsors of the Dronfield 10k and Fun Run, Sheffield Hallam University’s annual Property Law Prize, Paces School, Coal Aston Cricket Club and Titans Boxing Gym. We’re also members of the Dronfield Civic Society, friends of Dronfield Station and give annual support to the Ellesmere Operatic Society.

Our Charity Pledge

In 2022, we have pledged to raise at least £10,000 for our four charity partners. We will donate evenly to The Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, Support Dogs, the Birth Trauma Association, and the Disasters Emergency Committee from the money raised.

Our volunteer charity committee has a 12-month calendar of exciting fundraising activities to help raise money to meet our ambitious goal.

We’re also hosting several fundraisers dedicated to our chosen charities. We’ve already hosted a very successful ‘Dog and Doughnut Day’ in honour of Support Dogs. A couple of their support dogs even visited our Sheffield office to help!

Volunteer Days

Community is one of our core values. We know that giving back to charities close to our colleagues’ hearts is important. That’s why we’re proud to host a Volunteer Day Scheme for all people to get involved in.

The initiative offers our people a paid volunteer day to pledge their time and support to a charity or community activity of their choice.

The scheme means that more than 200 of our people will go out each year to help an organisation or our community and help make a difference.

Making Our Mark

We’re proud to be based in Sheffield – the UK’s ‘greenest city’. We’re committed to reducing our carbon footprint and doing our bit for the environment we live in. In 2022, Taylor Emmet was awarded a bronze badge by Investors in the Environment for our commitment to becoming a greener firm.

Our main offices are fitted with ozone-friendly air conditioning systems, whilst windows in the building are designed to retain maximum heat and light and reduce solar glare and reflection. Our lighting and electrical systems also comply with the latest environmentally friendly regulations.

We try to do most of our work digitally to reduce the printing we do, and the paper that we do use is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. Our purchasing policy is also geared towards the use of environmentally friendly products.

We recycle redundant office equipment, including computers, printer toners, batteries and mobile phones.
