Taylor&Emmet tackles troublesome tenants Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP is helping the region’s property professionals find out more about handling problem tenants. The firm’s commercial property solicitors are hosting a free breakfast seminar to outline how landlords and agents can manage breaches of a tenancy agreement effectively. Dealing with Problem Tenants will be held on Wednesday (March 8) at The Crucible’s Adelphi Room in the city centre from 8-10am. Led by Taylor&Emmet’s property litigation specialist, James Parden, the event will focus on issues such as damage to property, complaints from neighbours and managing intervention from the police and other agencies. Attendees will also have an opportunity to find out more about case law updates, meet members of Taylor&Emmet’s commercial property team and network with fellow delegates over a continental breakfast. James said: “Typically, the first months of the year are when we receive the most enquiries about matters such as rent arrears. Even for professional landlords with multiple properties, it can be challenging to keep up to date with changes to the property laws, which is why we’ve organised this event. We aim to reduce some of the stress and anxiety about dealing with a difficult tenant by informing and reassuring delegates that they do not have to face the problem alone.” There are still limited places available at this free Taylor&Emmet seminar.
