Corinna Lincoln

Senior Associate, Clinical negligence

Corinna is a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Clinical Negligence team. She has a special interest in birth trauma and maternity care. Corinna works closely with the Birth Trauma Association and is recommended on their panel of experts. She has particular experience representing women who have been affected as a result of obstetric care and birth trauma and is happy to advise on any query.

Corinna joined the Clinical Negligence team in 2012 and completed her training with Taylor Emmet. She studied Law at the University of Liverpool, Human Rights Law and Politics at the University of Manchester and the Legal Practice Course at the University of Sheffield.

Corinna represents families who have lost loved ones because of poor medical treatment and has helped to recover substantial damages for families and children, when there has been the devastating loss of a parent. She has been successfully involved in high profile litigation involving the use of gynaecological mesh and TVT (Tension-Free Vaginal Tape).

Corinna’s expertise covers an extensive range of clinical issues, including cases where there has been a delayed or misdiagnosis of all types of cancer and other diseases. She has acted for clients who have suffered limb amputations, avoidable colostomy and traumatic brain injuries. She has fought for elderly and vulnerable clients in cases against care homes and involving poor hospital treatment.

Corinna will support you from the point of your initial enquiry, throughout the entirety of your case. She is experienced in obtaining large compensation payments for clients and where possible, will obtain interim payments to enable clients to access appropriate care and equipment, which will improve their quality of life and provide access to specialist help, even if a case is still ongoing.

When she is not in the office, Corinna has acted as a Trustee for the Peak District and South Yorkshire branch of the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England (previously Friends of the Peak District) and is the Chair for local Peak District charity, Challenge Cancer Through Adventure. Corinna is also an Ambassador for local Sheffield charity, Paces. She has mentored Law students at Sheffield Hallam University as part of the Career Mentoring Scheme and helps on the Action Against Medical Accidents (AvMA) helpline. In any spare time, she can usually be found with a pair of climbing shoes, muddy running shoes or a mountain bike, on or below a Peak District crag.
