Alex joined Taylor&Emmet in 2015 after 14 years practising at a local Sheffield firm.
He is a widely recognised expert in Inheritance, Will and Trust disputes and is one of only four solicitors in South Yorkshire who is a member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS). He is also heavily involved in the Northern Contentious Probate Solicitors Group.
Alex has a vast wealth of knowledge and experience in this field and acted in the high profile cases of Kershaw v Micklethwaite and others [2010] EWHC506 (CH) – a leading case regarding the removal of Executors and the in case of Lilleyman v Lilleyman [2012] EWHC821 (CH) – a leading case on “short marriage, big money” Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975. He is frequently appointed as replacement Personal Representative and Trustee in complex or disputed Trusts and Estates.
In his spare time, Alex enjoys playing and watching a wide variety of sports, particularly football and cricket, expanding his vinyl LP collection and spending time with his family.
