Conveyancing Fee Information

Our experienced team of award winning residential conveyancing solicitors are here to ensure that your property transaction runs as quickly and as smoothly as possible, whether you are buying or selling a house or have any other residential property requirement, you can rely on us to get you moving.

BUYING A PROPERTY

The figure quoted assumes a straightforward transaction and that all the information provided is correct. If a matter becomes complex, or the information provided above is inaccurate then there may be additional charges. We will inform you as early of possible should there be a change to your quoted price.

You can find here our guide to additional charges.

As well as receiving instructions directly from buyers and sellers, we also work with referrers, brokers and estate agents who refer clients to us. If you have been referred to us through one of those channels, the referrer will have provided the relevant pricing information, which will apply to your transaction, and any questions about that information should be addressed directly to the referrer.

The standard searches included in the above quote include:

  • Local Authority search
  • Drainage & Water Search
  • Environmental Search
  • Coal Mining Search

A disbursement is a cost related to your matter that is payable to a third party, such as Land Registry fees.

It is impossible to give a fixed timescale. If there is one buyer and one seller, ie no chain of transactions, then, subject to the wishes of the parties, the legal process would normally be completed within six to eight weeks of an offer being accepted.

It is, however, important to be aware that when involved in a chain of transactions with several people moving at the same time and dependent upon each other, the whole chain can only proceed at the speed of the slowest person in the chain.

The stages of selling a home can be complex, and there may be times where all seems quiet. This does not mean your purchase is not progressing. In order to keep your home purchase on track we will be working tirelessly behind the scenes.

Please find here our guide to explain the house purchase process.

Our team deals with over 7000 property transactions every year so you can be sure that whichever of our Conveyancing teams handles your matter they will work to ensure your journey to completion is hassle free.

Our conveyancing law specialists have years of experience of delivering high quality work. Regardless of the complexity or simplicity of your case, our specialists will work to the highest standard, with all work overseen by a partner in our Conveyancing Department.
